An established service provider with a diverse social mission and a broad spectrum of products and services – from mobility and insurance to digital transformation – is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (m|f|d) to strengthen its IT department.
As part of a strategic growth plan, a new development team is being established – an exciting opportunity for committed individuals who want to actively shape the development and shape modern software solutions in the insurance sector right from the start.
Your tasks
- Further development and support of a complex portfolio and claims system in the insurance sector as well as related applications.
- Close cooperation with business development to assess technical feasibility and develop viable implementation concepts.
- Defining technical architectures and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
- Implementation of new features based on user stories and acceptance criteria, taking architectural frameworks into account.
- Conducting and supporting code reviews to ensure high code quality.
- Active role in coordinating and managing development activities within the newly formed agile team.
Your profile
- Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in Java development (Spring Boot) as well as in PL/SQL and database development with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Ideally knowledge of React JS, Typescript, GitHub and Oracle DB management.
- High degree of initiative, creativity and sense of responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented thinking.
- Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and a confident demeanor in technical and professional exchanges.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
