We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Project Manager (m/f/d) to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing complex projects in the field of minimally invasive surgery on an international level. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to manage the schedule, budget, and content of projects. The goal is to integrate the latest technologies into innovative products and further develop the portfolio in the field of minimally invasive surgery.

Your tasks

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams of engineers, scientists, technicians and other stakeholders to promote the development and implementation of projects in the field of minimally invasive surgery.
  • Development of detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation and risk assessments, to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Work closely with product management and research and development teams to define project scope, objectives, and expected results.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to key stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and challenges and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying deviations from the plan and initiating corrective actions to meet the schedule.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative team culture that supports open communication and the exchange of ideas.
  • Mediation and coordination between different departments, stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Documentation of project activities, milestones and results.

Your profile

  • Completed bachelor's degree with 5 to 10 years of professional experience or a master's degree/doctorate in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in the development and integration of medical devices, ideally in the field of visualization and imaging.
  • Competence in systems engineering, requirements management and systems integration.
  • In-depth understanding of camera technology and solid knowledge of the Python programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development processes and programming languages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • A careful approach to work and enthusiasm for providing high-quality products.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of European and US medical device regulations is an advantage.
